ok thank you soooo much for all your ideas on what i could get my mum for her 40th birthday which wouldnt cost much. i really wanted to have money to take her away on a weekend break or a spa but i couldnt get the money. im 15
so from all your ideas heres what im gonna do....
make her a card
make a photo album of her+ me over the years
buy some flowers + mabye a bear
give her a facail, manicure
make her a cd with her favourite songs
bake cookies or make a cake
draw or paint a portrait of her
what you think? im still gonna feel bad though because its not expensive
40th birthday #2?
sounds like all the time and effort your going to put into all these things she'll really appreciate it, it does not matter that you have not spent much money, not many kids do unless they get t of their parents in the first place.
Reply:Wow, your mum will love all of that, all the money in the world can't buy the happiness you'll bring to your mum on her 40th.
Reply:if I was a mom and I reieved this it would be more valuable than money I mean you mean it from your heart right and thats what counts all of those things as a mom I think she will love them
Reply:Your mum's going to love it. These things are all so personal. You can't buy that.
Reply:I always feel bad when i cant afford to buy my mum something nice, im only 14 im not old enough to get a job so i always have to ask her for money.
I once did 16 drawings for her, put them all in a folder from smiths and tied it all up in ribbon and she really liked it, why not try that?
Reply:I think she will love anything that you get her or make her you have put effot in. well done she will be gratefull. dont feel bad
Reply:if my daughter did for my 40th half of wot ur doing for ur mums 40th then i would feel on top of the world bcoz money isn't everything but a childes love and affection is and there is nothing to feel bad about
Reply:That sounds wonderful! The expense in money is not what your Mum will love the investment of your time and love will bowl her over! She's a lucky Lady to have such a sweet and thoughful Daughter! Hope it all goes really well for you both!!
Reply:oooh that is sooooo nice, wish you were my little girl, I would LOVE a present just like that........... That present is so much more precious than anything money could buy
Reply:money doesnt matter! your mother will realise the effort you have put it and to her it wont matter what you get her!
shes knows @ 15 you will be short of dosh!
another idea! get family members to record a message on a video camera if you have one, something which can be treasured for ever
Reply:you could buy her jewelry. or a teddy bear that says i love you.
Reply:HEY - i am a Mum who is 40 in the next fortnight and if any of my kids went to this effort I would be overwhelmed - good for you as all your ideas come from the heart and that is all your Mum is looking for - I swear if you bought her a cream egg and made a box for it she would love it more than any expensive spa weekend - trust me I am there and I know what I am talking about!!!

Girlfriend Birthday ideas. Please help!!!!?
I'am 20 livin in Hollywood CA, i've datin my girl for 3 years now and her birthday is comin on june 19th. Every guy knows he has to top his last year present ex: Guy buys his girl roses and jelewry worth $100 next year he has to do better. Last year i got het Victoria Secret Card, flowers, necklace, and took her to a cabin by the lake and made dinner for her. I dont have any ideas for this year , please help
Girlfriend Birthday ideas. Please help!!!!?
You just screwed yourself right in the ... with last year's birthday. Man, young guys just dont know how to pace themselves these days! Not really.
Actually, as you get older you realize that this year doesnt have to top last year in expense, adventure, or extravagance, it just has to top it in thoughtfulness. 3 years is quite a bit of time. Take her somewhere sentimental, maybe your first date, some place she wishes she could always go, something she has always wanted to do.
If you cant get something for her, try something just outright romantic or adventurous. Obviously dont take your quite, romantic girlfriend on a Egyptian adventure, or your adventurous girlfriend somewhere quite and romantic. Skydiving, scuba diving, muff diving, just to name a few adventurous birthdays.
Seriously, stay away from the jewlery. What are you gonna get her on your 5th anniversary, a plane?
Good luck!
Reply:Wow, sounds like a really nice time. If she enjoyed it do it again. Why not sounds wonderful!!
Reply:You DON'T HAVE to top everything every year. its pratically not possible. i mean last year u tak her to a cabin, then hotel, then worlds #1 hotel, then where do u take her thats better? YOU CANT. my advice: cook dinner for her (chix luv that), a few flowers (not to many) and a giftcard to somewhere.
Reply:Make her a birthday card. You will be absolutely stunned by the sentimentality( of such). The whole outlook of this is such: You took the time to construct,write,fold,color,write,simulat... etc. instead of a half-assed/forgotten last minute birthday card. Forgo an expensive gift/dinner, or both, which you will be "put-out" by after wards. We do not want that. Especially when you despise us for having to spend so much $ on us for our own self worth. (independent girls = less burden)
Reply:take her out alone to a quiet place by her twice the roses you bought her last year and jewlery
or take her out of state to a beautiful romantic place!
=)
Reply:Set up something nice and have some one play a joke and when she is really pissed then ask her to marry you...see what that does...
Reply:Damn baby that is gonna be hard to top. I would of been putty in your hands. Maybe an engagement ring ?
Reply:take her to sky diving
Romantic get away
Surprise party
Depend on what she likes, someone bought me a language course and I loved it.
Reply:this time take her to nice and quite place where u can spend some time wid her .have a nice dinner . talk to her and express ur feelings to her. this will make her happy. if u wanna give a gift then its ur choice.
Reply:Hi,
Why not do something fun like swim with the dolphins in the daytime and visit and rescue site for sea creatures. Then at night take her out to swanky restaurant like The Belair in Beverely Hills. Check it out first we were there 35 years ago on our honeymoon, so I don't even know if it's still open!
A helicoptor ride would be fun and exciting. Then go have a picnic somewhere.
Good luck.
Reply:dude, you did way too much for her last year and you're wrong in the sense that you have to keep topping it. i have a lot of girls as friends and they always tell me that they'd rather their boyfriends did something special than to spend money on them. istead of the gift card, you could have taken her to pick something out, like a shopping spree. and instead of buying flowers, you could have picked some. the necklace was overboard. think of something fun and exciting that you can experience together...someone mentioned sky diving. i was going to suggest the same thing--she'll never forget it and it'll cost way less than last year. or take her to vegas...you're too young too gamble, but you can still have a lot of fun. maybe, you can rent a boat for the weekend and organize it so her friends all go with her to the lake to celebrate her birthday. be creative, it's not how much you spend it's the experience. good luck
Reply:Be romantic, Take her to a local Hotel thats all posh and stuff. Find out her birth stone and buy her a ring with it. Have flowers ready, chocolates. (Since everything has to be better next year, don't make this too good for next year!).
You could see what she likes or where she likes to go, and do it. You'll be right.
Reply:ask her if there's anything she has in mind first. take her to dinner or make dinner then have romantic evening with all the details: bubblebath, flowers on the bed, all that mushy stuff. no matter what you gave her last year, an engagement ring will probably make her happier

Something besides flowers to put at a young person's grave sight?
My son passed away tragically at eighteen years old. We visit his grave sight frequently. We are looking for some ideas to decorate his memorial. He was a very "alternative" guy. He aspired to be a tatoo artist. He was very in to alternative and hip hop music. And he was so funny! He was also very sweet and gentle. We bring flowers, but we are sick of them. He was so creative and full of fun, we want to find something else that is fitting. We have to be careful and "tasteful", because this is a cemetery and we do not want to offend the other families with loved ones resting there. Whatever we come up with has to last at least for a little while outside. Any ideas? I know this is a strange question, but he was the light of my life, and made so many people so happy, and we really want to honor his life. And since he was just a week shy of his nineteenth birthday, we are looking for ideas befitting his youth and creativity. Thanks!!!
Something besides flowers to put at a young person's grave sight?
I suggest you start a website in his memory, with photographs, inspirational words, and a guest book. Then post the web address on his marker.
Reply:I am really sorry but could not say that I understand..
What about a small stone angel ? Or would that be too tacky ?
He was young, he was lovely......and he is "up there" now..
Reply:maybe be creative and MAKE some flowers or something else he cared about.... out of wire or clay im sure the creativity wouldnt offend anyone.... and if it did who cares. your son deserves the recognition and acceptance from you as do all others.
Reply:Ummm.. if you kept an MP3 player there playing his favourite music it would get stolen when you are not around.. how about putting small pictures and frames of his favourite artists around or making a bonquet of large leaves and drawing his tatooo designs on those.
Reply:My husband and I like to walk in the cemetery in our small town. Many of the gravesites are decorated with statues and pictures, favorite toys and belongings. We have even noticed a couple with small shallow bowls that have coins in them. We don't know the meaning of this, but no one seems to bother anything left on the graves. I think you should put whatever has meaning to you and your son. I'm so sorry. There could be nothing worse than to lose your child.
Reply:Framed copies of his designs, or his favorite designs by other artists, would be nice; and they needn't be expensive, so if they get stolen it wouldn't matter. (Please don't use copyrighted material; if it should get stolen, someone might make an illegal profit from it.) You could make up a few different ones and change them from time to time, just for variety. Be strong, be comforted.
Reply:i tink u shud put sumting there 2 show wat he was like. it doesnt hav 2 be big, or meen anyting 2 any1 else. if he had designd a tattoo u cud get a fotocopy of it n mayb put it there wit a poem or sumting. it wil b hard 2 find sumting strate away that shows enough so take ur time.
Reply:You could probably lay a couple of pictures of him and family.

Birthday celebrating advise?
Well, she is a tough girl, a little nasty, only do things that she likes and care nothing about the surroundings... She doesn't love flowers or any spakling things...
With some things about her characteristics, can you guys suggest what would be a memorable birthday celebration for such type of chracteristics??? Please advise. Thanks a ton!
Birthday celebrating advise?
You know what she likes and what she doesn't like. Do what you think will make her birthday celebration a blast.

Birthday gifts?
my gf's birthday is the 11th and i wanna get her something nice
i was thinking about a build-a-bear with a necklace around his neck for her to wear, and maby some flowers ? any sujections
Birthday gifts?
I personally like your idea of the build-a-bear with the necklace! And flowers are always a nice touch too!
Reply:Aww, that sounds sweet (stuffed animals and jewelry rock!) Maybe you could take her out to eat somewhere nice? Or you could set up a little picnic in your bedroom? OR you could run her nice hot bubble bath with little notes telling her where to go next THEN lead her to a picnic in ur bedroom or something? :p
Reply:Forget a girlfriend 11 years old wait until she becomes 16 at least don't ruin her life that is a gift.
Reply:I like your idea.
OR you could book a day at the spa for both of you.
Dinner with flowers is nice.
Anything you pick will be great as long as she spends it with you I am sure she will be happy.
Best Wishes
Reply:that's a good plan if you are gonna spend that kind of dough you should just go to kay jewelers and get her a nice heart pendant they have those for like 99.00 around this time of year and you can get insurance for about 7 extra dollars so that if a stone or anything falls out of it it will be replaced by the jeweler!! and any women loves diamonds! They are a girls best friend!!
Reply:build a bear is kind of cheesy
Reply:Sounds good to me. Don't know how long she's been your g/f or how old you both are... add a dinner date and a b-day cupcake and your all set.
Reply:Some sexy lingerie
Reply:do your teddy bear idea w/flowers she'll love it
Reply:you are really a nice boyfriend. I loved your suggestion and i think you should definately go for it

Poll: men would you like to get this on your birthday...?
so for my husbands birthday, we're going to really nice restaurant and then horse drawn carriage ride afterwards..... some one suggested he might even like getting flowers, or a cake.
so men what do you think about flowers?
what about a cake?
candy?
(yes i have something special planned for later in the evening also-- so yeah he'll get that too)
Poll: men would you like to get this on your birthday...?
I think that's very sweet of you. He'll enjoy that.
Me, personally... I'd just enjoy a quiet night with my wife - no tv, or kids... Just she %26amp; I talking %26amp; doing whatever comes natural.
Reply:flowers??? well i wouldent mind them but candy and cake are good especially delivered to my work (bragging rights) horse drawn carriage???? well sure whatever i would say rent a convertable and just go for a drive (they would cost about the same) and just talk and romance. its your call we dont know him like you do.
Reply:Dinner - Ok
Horse drawn carriage ride - No
Flowers - No
Cake - Only if having a party, otherwise no
Candy - No
Girls never understand this but guys like stuff. We don't need things with special meanings we just want the stuff we ask for or need. A guy will appreciate some new socks more than the horse drawn carriage ride.
Reply:No Flowers, Please. Maybe a cake, but no flowers.
And the "something special for later" is going to be
the most important. So let him have what he wants.
Then tell him what you want, in plain dirty English...
Most of all, just have fun.... That luck F**ker....
Reply:No flowers. No candy - unless he's a fanatic about a certain type of candy. I wouldn't even bother with the cake but if you feel up to it, it's a nice touch. But dinner, horse-and-carriage and "ya know" sounds like a good birthday to me!
Reply:flowers can be fun, if he likes cake yes, if he prefers something else pie whatever he likes give him that, sounds like a fun B'day
Reply:Sounds Ok to me but I would say hold the flowers, actually it sounds more like something I would do for a woman and not ask for for myself.
Reply:The evening sounds delightful! Men like flowers also and just because they do doesn't make them any less of a man.
Reply:Um, get him something like a bentley.. Or a yacht!
Or a ps3?
Reply:Flowers - no
Cake - yes
Candy - sure, why not?
Reply:?The best way to a mans heart is through his stomache....CAKE!!?
Reply:flowers ahh no cake yes candy why not and always always save the best for last!

Birthday gift, not cheap, not expensive, for my boyfriend?
His birthday is in a month and he is very sentimental about things. Like for example for my birthday he had me roses and my birth month flower delivered to me at work. HELP!
Birthday gift, not cheap, not expensive, for my boyfriend?
THE BEST GIFT TO GIVE A GUY:
Take him out for dinner at his favorite resturant, smell fantastically sexy, look fantastically sexy........then of course MENS FAVORITE SEX...make sure to do everything men like when you make love to him.. twirl you tongue in his ear... kiss him on his neck (men that are in relationships love when their women do sexy things for them) use your hand etc. This is his birthday sex...do EVERYTHING SEXY...for him. When you scream make sure your voice is SSSexy (like a lisp)...etc.
His Birthday should be about you being SEXY and doing everything SEXY...For Him.
For the actual gift:
If you dont want to spend money on the gift. Just buy him a card. As a man, id recommend righting something like "Rough Sex Tomorrow" (depending on if your mans up for the job)
Reply:1)write a beautiful letter to him , by yourself by your own words regarding all your feeling towards him.he will like it.
2)invite him for lunch and dinner , and all the dishes prepared by you and by yourself specially for him.
3)u can give him romantic song cd/cassete or you can even wirte a song for him.
Reply:Buy some handcuffs. =]

Reply:Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

Along with it, depending on your budget, you can give her a locket with a picture of the two of you. Or you can give her a gift card to one of the clothing store she likes.Good Luck choosing the perfect present!

But then again, since you will be married soon, you may want to get her something she can wear to your wedding like a really nice earing and necklace set that you know she would love to wear. I got a necklace for my wedding, I wore it that day. But try something like this:

Good luck, happy birthday to HER, and congratulations to you both.

My boyfriend has never bought me flowers?
Not even on my birthday. I really put myself out for him sometimes and he never gives me anything like this as a token of his appreciation. When I have hinted at it he has said "yeah you are long overdue a bunch of flowers" But still nada. Every other guy I have been out with has always bought me flowers. Am I wrong - it's not the flowers themselves but the gesture that he is thinking of me or has gone out of his way to do something nice for me.
My boyfriend has never bought me flowers?
i know how you feel, the last time my bf got me flowers was on valentines day, and it pisses me off. he does a lot for me but still.... its flowers...... its a girls next best friend besides dimonds lol i think men should walk in womens shoes for like a week and see our emotions because they obviously have trouble with it
Reply:Have you given HIM a token of appreciation? Start giving him little gifts and doing nice things for him. He should catch on that he needs to return the favor.
Reply:don't sweat it. Add catherineelainelynch@yahoo.com to your contacts list so that if you ask another question i will know and i can help you with advice.

How would you feel if your b/f never gave you flowers?
i been with him for a long time and in all that time he has never once given me flowers i wish he would do this i think he could buy me at least a cheap boquet to show me he cares for me and as a surprise sometime or at least when we have an anniversary or something my birthday even? or when he knows i have been sick and not up to par? or simply to show me he is thinking of me?
how would you feel if your b/f never did this for you?
How would you feel if your b/f never gave you flowers?
well mine has not given me flowers, but i do not think it is a big deal. would it be nice if he ever did surprise me with some well i wont lie yes it would be as i have never been given flowers from a man in my life. in fact i have never been sent flowers by anyone in my life, so if someone did this for me i would love it and it would mean a lot to me.
but flowers are not everything, does he kiss you? does he hold your hand? take you to dinner? cook dinner or another meal for you? surprise you in other ways?
some guys just are not that romantic by nature, or like i saw someone else say here they may not have money to waste on frivolous things like flowers.
and besides time spent with your man should be way more important than if he gives you flowers or other gifts.
and you can give each other things that don't cost money and things that come from the heart mean much more than material things do.
don't be selfish, if you love him just accept him for what and who he is and maybe just maybe he shows you romance in other ways so he don't think he needs to show it to you by giving you flowers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:your welcome, i'm glad that you asked him that was the only way you were gonna find out. and i do hope everything works out for you. remember be open and honest always!!!!!!!!!!!! Report It
Reply:Do you feel his love in other ways, Flowers are no big deal, and they look like death when you have to throw them away. Have you seen the flowers when they look like that? I'd rather take the garbage out for a month than take dead flowers out of vase and into the garbage can. Please be thankful for the boy friend you have, there are so many girls in yahoo world who are crying that they don't have a boyfriend or boyfriend has moved on.
God bless.
Reply:you're not alone i also experience the way you do but you have to ask yourself is things makes you happy or the love the actions he shows?maybe your bf is not materialistic thats why. What's important is how he shows the love. What is flowers, chocolates, rings if he is not faithful
Reply:It seems God made a man to be unromantic! That's why when you find one, he's a keeper so if you want him to do these things (romantic), you must just come straight out and tell him.."Baby, why do you NEVER give me flowers, even on special occasions?" Make sure you asked him when you're snuggled close to him. Then he'll give you that "What!?" look. So, you repeat it...and repeat it..and repeat it daily, if necessary, until he gets what you said. Enjoy!
Reply:im the opposite...im tired of flowers...i get flowers when we argue, flowers when im sick, flowers when he ***** up, flowers when im at work, flowers for no reason, flowers, flowers, flowers! id love some chocolate or something lol but i agree flowers are nice..sometimes... = / why dont you hint to him like when you go out say wow those flowers are beautiful or the more agressive approach id reallllllly love it if you bought me some flowers *big smile*
Reply:This happens to me all the time, and I'll tell you the honest-to-god's truth - it sucks.

Reply:Hm, well, maybe some guys aren't just the overly romantic type, meaning buying the flowers and chocolates, giving cards, etc. Both of the guys that i dated never did that either so I know where you're coming from. I did feel a little like I wasn't being appreciated and I wasn't being courted in a way that i would like to be courted. However, there may be valid reasons why, (money issues, untaught on how to really treat a woman when dating her, etc.) But, if he's not taught, then how is he ever going to know? Try to make a point to have him start to do the things you want him to do by dropping hints. (Ex: mentioning your fav. flower, mention that for your birthday it would be nice to have flowers, etc.) By having you drop hints like that and mentioning how it would make you feel happy and appreciated, if he really cares for you, he'll get the message and hopefully step up to the plate for you.

Today is MY mOM'S 59TH bIRTHDAY. wHAT SHOULD I GET HER?
Doesn't need flowers and neither fancy stuff. What would you get your mother on her 59th Birthday.
Today is MY mOM'S 59TH bIRTHDAY. wHAT SHOULD I GET HER?
59 (any birthday over 40, really) makes a woman think about her impending mortality. Get her something that reminds her of her youth, or which really celebrates her life as it is now..maybe a nice framed picture of your family? If she's done something really momentous (maybe she went back to school and got her degree), frame that? Maybe do a mini scrapbook of memories that you specifically cherish with her?--If you don't have specific photos, symbolic pictures/items (ticket stubs for that play you were in that she made all the costumes for, or a picture of similar costumes or something), a picture of your dog that she got you...whatever. Make it personal, and let it know that you value HER--not some woman who's turning 59.
Reply:How about one of those ConAir Foot Massager/Baths? Bed, Bath, and Beyond has them. They are wonderful!
Reply:A hand made card and a picture frame.
Don't get her one of thoose fancy frames.
Reply:just get her something simple.
like a bracelet or necklace.
Reply:I probably would pay for my mom to take a trip or send her to a nice play on Broadway. My mom likes to travel and enjoys cultural activities. Setting up a trip to someplace she always says she's going to visit one day, would be an ultimate surprise.
Reply:well,here goes...remember u asked...i wud get the bi*ch a burial plot...but that's just my mom...what will u get UR mom?
Reply:a male stripper
Reply:~It's obvious that you have a close relationship with your mother. You wait until the day of her birthday to think about what to get her. If you have to ask what to get her, you haven't spent much time paying attention to her or you would know what she likes, what she needs, what she yearns for.
Instead of wondering what I got my mother on her 59th birthday, how about spending some time with your own mother. My mom was very happy and surprised by her 59th birthday presents.
Reply:Why do people wait until the last min. to get someone something for their B-Day. Why bother. They must not mean very much to ya other wise you would of put more thought into it and already had something for her.
Reply:I'd try and gather pics from her younger years and make her a scrapbook or if you have time take a favorite photo and have it made into a cake top..I've seen cakes that they take a photo and use that as the decoration for the top of the cake... or make her a nice dinner or take her out to a fun restaurant then to mini-golf...

Girlfriend didn't get me anything for my birthday or valentines?
My birthday was just a few days before valentines and my girlfriend didn't give me anything for either of those days, and I surprised her with flowers and balloons on valentines. I haven't said anything to her because I don't want to sound selfish I'm not trying to be greedy or anything, but should I be bugged about this and should I say something to her what should I say?
Girlfriend didn't get me anything for my birthday or valentines?
No, it's perfectly alright that it bothers you.As someone else said, if she was incapable, financially, then it is understandable, but there are plenty of homemade items that get the point across, or at least an "I'm sorry, but.." Just politely bring it up, and ask, "so, what happened there?" Try to keep from sounding angry or anything, and if she cares, she'll understand why you're worried. If, however, she gets upset at you for it, in any way, as far as I can think, then there may be a serious problem in the relationship.
Reply:hell no u are not being selfish and yes u should def say something to her let her know how u feel but do it in a nice way
Reply:Well, a few things Im wondering here, does she have money %26amp; a job to buy you something? I can see if maybe she was broke or something, but even when Ive been short on cash I would at least apologize for the lack of a gift %26amp; try to get creative with something to replace it. How long have you been dating?? If its been a short time, then maybe she felt awkward about getting you something too soon. If neither of those apply then perhaps she was thinking that you werent going to get her anything or celebrate valentines day since alot of men think its a hallmark holiday. If it really bothers you, find a way to casually mention it without putting blame or pressure to get to the bottom of it. Good luck!
Reply:what a ****** my brother.
Reply:Of course that should bother you, wow that's so weird. :((
Valentines I don't think is much of a big deal. In my personal opinion I think it's all about the women on that day, but that's just me.
but you're birthday gosh, umm I don't think you're being selfish, cause i'm sure it's not the actual thought of gettin' a materlistic gift, it's just the thought of her not even giving you one.
I'm not too sure how u should ask her, but I know I would

Flowers Online? =P?
*Cough* So yeah. I met this girl online and we fell in love with each-other. Her birthday is coming up and I want to send her flowers. Here is the catch. I don't want to seem creepy and ask for her address. Are their any websites that deliver flowers to the addresses of other members in which the sender is unable to see the address?
I'd appreciate any help, I really don't want her to feel uncomfortable so it has to be secure. Kinda like paypal but with flowers instead of money %26lt;.%26lt;
Thank you in advance. ^^
Flowers Online? =P?
The on line flower is just the same as any flower shop. They both do need a place: like an address to sent the flower to. How else is she going to get the flower. Without an physical address your best luck is to sent her e card. I think she would appreciate that. What's most important is that your thoughtfulness that counts. Best of luck.
Reply:well so, not creepy. just kinda stalkerish. if you fell in love, you should have her address. I've worked in many florists for over 15 yrs. and that just has... STALKER all over it.
Reply:I don't care what you say...sorry this is weird.
1) How can you be in love w/ her on line?
2) WHY wouldn't you ask her for her address?
3) Has she told you she loves YOU?
4) This just sounds wrong, like you want to remain anonymous for a reason.
Look, I know you said you weren't a stalker, but if it walks like a duck and looks like a duck....It's a DUCK.
Just call her office and get her work address and send them there, what you're doing is to strange sorry but I had to respond with my own opinion...I wouldn't have the slighest clue to tell you where to go, I don't think this is a "common procedure"
I was going to recommned www.1800flowers, but after reading all of this. You want something else. Sorry
if there is such a site, I wish you well.
I can't seem to understand how people can fall in love online only? I can see where you could become infatuated or in LUST, but you've never even been to her house or have her address??? Hum...ever think there's a reason for that???
Reply:Go on whitepages.com and look her name up. That should be able to tell you all the information you will need to know for sending flowers.
Reply:You need a street address. How else is the delivery person supposed to know where she lives?
Reply:Send it to her work address, instead. If all else fails, simply forego the surprise thing as it may surprise you she perceive surprises as "creepy" and ask her if she is OK with giving her personal address to someone who is a *cough* romantic guy who want to send flowers to his new love.
Maybe next time you can surprise her with something else or more flowers, as you've envisioned or fantasized, you romantic devil, you.
Reply:just ask her for the address
Reply:Yeah...so...I think any way that you do this it is going to seem creepy. It would almost be better to ask her address. Or even her work address or friends address. Just tell her what your trying to do.
Bad Breath
I'd appreciate any help, I really don't want her to feel uncomfortable so it has to be secure. Kinda like paypal but with flowers instead of money %26lt;.%26lt;
Thank you in advance. ^^

What can i get her for her birthday?
so...theres this one girl...we're really tight...and i kind of like her...her birthday is in two weeks...but i have no idea what to get her...shes kind of a tomboy...she wouldnt like jewlery or flowers...so yeah...what should i get her?...i have a budget about about 20 bucks...so yeah...
What can i get her for her birthday?
Get her a gift card to the movie theater. I got one and I loved it. She can go with you or her girl friends.
Reply:vs thong
Reply:you should get her something that has to do with sports, get her like a sports outfit or something simple like that. it is cute, and cheap!
Reply:Does she like to eat? Take her to a good food joint. Not a fancy restaurant, but a place where the food is good and each plate costs around 6 or 7 bucks. Family owned places with fun atmosphere are great. Or hometown favorites.
And if you think that might be too intimate, then why not a ball cap or a "something" that you notice she likes to wear a lot, but a different version. Look on the sale racks.
Reply:I know exactly how you feel! Ha ha, I can barely find gifts for my own family!
But if she's a bit on the tomboy side, maybe a set of action movies like Bruce Lee or maybe even take her to dinner, but take her along with some guy friends so you can all hang and enjoy it together without making it feel awkward that it's just you two.
Another suggestion is maybe making her a small personal cake with some awesome creative designs or something. If you're not into baking however, maybe try a gag gift like instead of pretty jewelry, get her candy jewelry and tell her she looks absolutely exquisite in it! Ha ha, if none of these work, a guess a gift card can always work, but try to get personal first.
Reply:ask her friends what she wants
Reply:Buy a Frisbee, put candy or something in it and put a bow on top. Take her on a picnic, maybe get some fried chicken and go play Frisbee golf! It's simple and thoughtful.
Reply:You could buy her a teddy to wear, a new purse, new perfume, dinner at the local buffet, or a new CD of her favorite music artist. You could buy her some new clothes, a new watch, a new bracelet, but that might take more than your $20.
Reply:Get her a CD she likes and take her to a movie with some buddies. She would love that and it would probably suit your budget, give or take a couple bucks.
Reply:take her to the movies xD..!!
Reply:You dont really want something to extravagante because it will show you are trying to hard., You should try and get her something simple and cheap (price) not junk, lol. maybe a keychain or shirt say from walmart. if she's into music you could get her a CD, you go to walmart.com and you can create your own custom mix.
What ever you get her she will be happy you thought of her!!
Reply:The only thing i would give her is my friendship. In time it could become more then friendship. Find out what she like the most and buy some small Most grall likes that.
Reply:That's a tough one...if you're as close as you seem, try and get her something that only you two would know the real meaning behind, like the dvd to the first movie you guys ever saw together. If you don't remember just take her out to her fav restaurant or buy her a cd
Reply:gift card r kinda cheap (makes it seem like you didnt even think twice about her and her b-day)you want to get her something that shows her that you care. like maby her favroit movie or a game that she likes(sims, board game whatever and jewlery any girl likes jewlery no matter if shes a tom boy or not
Reply:Just get her something she is into if she is a tomboy just figure out what she might like.
Reply:Well since she's a tomboy I would think that she's athletic right? Get her work out clothes, caps, ...etc
Or maybe movies, books,
If you can't find anything, then get her a gift card, but don't resort to that plan unless you ABSOLUTELY have to because, it's will seem to her that you can't even take the time to look for something.

My boyfriend didn't get me anything for my birthday!!?
So my boyfriend and I have been together for about 5 months. We've dated before a few years back, and now we are head over heels for eachother. He treats me so well. I am a little bummed because today was my birthday and he said happy birthday and gave me a kiss. I was thinking that maybe later hed come out with flowers or a card or gift, but he never did. Before my birthday he talked about how he had things in mind for me, and then i mentioned how im at his house a lot and he said that my present is somewhere where I wouldn't look. So I was excited to see what he got me. but i got nothin. I didn't want anything but atleast a homemade card or something! For his birthday I got him balloons sent to him and some movies. He is unemployed, so i understand that hes low on cash, but not THAT low that he can't even make me a card or buy flowers.
Basically, I am just wondering to why he wouldn't get me anything and why he said he did but then came up empty handed. Should I mention it to him?
My boyfriend didn't get me anything for my birthday!!?
Considering, he's unemployed, its quite reasonable to give a gift. If you plan on telling him about your frustration, do you think he will not get offended? Nevertheless, you have to say to him your disappointment but do it in a most subtle way.
Reply:.Most certainly would,if can lie about a birthday present Then he can lie about anything.

What's a good Birthday present for a female-friend?
My mom suggested flowers, but that seems to relationshipy to me, and we're just friends. I'm really shot for ideas, so any insight would help.
What's a good Birthday present for a female-friend?
Well I'm a girl so I'll just list things that I would like to receive from a guy friend, and that I wouldn't think are too "relationshipy" (nice word BTW)
- a cd from her fave band (or maybe a mix cd of music you'd think she'd like)
- tickets for the two of you to check out a killer concert
- a gift certificate to get a manicure or pedicure or some sort of spa thing
- does she have any piercings? maybe a new barbell or ring
- if your of legal age, a bottle of wine or alcohol
- something pretty and decorative like a nice candle
- a board game, I like Cranium or Scene It, or something classic like Jenga or Guess Who. You can have fun playing it too!!
- Does she have an iPod or a cell? What about a new case of gadget for those?
- Does she loooooove a certain band? Try looking for items from the band, like shirts or figurines (try eBay)
If you still can't think of anything, ask one of her other girlfriends for advice, and maybe you can even go in with a group of friends and get her something a bit bigger and really great. Best of luck!
Reply:well yur right about yur moms idea.. but i woulkd suggest CHOCOLATE!! never can go wrong with chocolate!!! or a gift card to place she gos to a lot (starbucks, target, mall!! etc.)
Reply:Flowers,cd,ipod,braclet,necklace

Hope this helps!

Ok no flowers or spa treatments or vouchers.
She likes christmas decorations, new york, chicago, san francisco, california so maybe a really good book or something.
It doesnt matter how expensive it is and my sister can help me get it.
Thanks xxx

best of luck

Reply:I'm a mom and what would mean most to me is not a purchased gift, but the gift of your time. Life can get pretty hectic and busy and as our children grow, move out, get married, focus on their friends, school and career, there is often a huge loss of one on one time between mom and daughter or mom and son. I'd be happy with a quiet lunch someplace where we can talk and catch up with things going on in our lives, have a giggle and reinforce that although life changes, that the love is always there!

Or look for perfumes, there are limited edition perfumes being put out about now, try big department stores for them.
Or big big box of very expensive chocolates from handmade places like rococo
Or cashmere scarve/hat/gloves set, or leather gloves that are really really soft and long in the arm (spot on trend for the next season)
Or if you really want to win her over, make her something: like earrigns or a necklace or if you know how to, knit her a scarf/jumper, mums love these types of thing.
Reply:How about a short break somewhere she has great memories? Maybe where you went together. Or, concert tickets are always a great one. Again, if you can find someone she really loves that's touring then you're on to a winner.
Reply:perfume, a picture frame with a pic of ur sisters and her. .. [a little more money, the digital picture frames that switches pictures on its own..i got that for my mom] ..
Reply:What about paying for a decorater to come in and completely 'make over' your mums (and dads) bedroom.
Give them some idea, what your doing..so that they/she can choose the colour scheme, and window dressings ie curtains or blinds etc.
But then you and your sister can send them out of the house and 'dress' the room with the duvet/comforter, bed pillows, a picture or mirror, the lighting for the side tables etc....and don't show them until it's all completely done...
Or as I did for my mum and dad, we bought laminate flooring for one room and had that fitted for them...they were delighted.

Or as I did for my mum and dad, we bought laminate flooring for one room and had that fitted for them...they were delighted.

What gift can I buy my wife for her 37th birthday this coming August?
Looking for unique ideas, that won't make me have to take out a huge loan or second mortgage to pay for. Not looking for flowers, jewelry, makeup, clothes, or PJ's, lingere, lotions or perfumes. Something unique. Something that shows I put some thought into it, or at least took the time to ask some one or research it on Yahoo! Answers....LOL. Best answer gets the points. I want her to open the gift and know it is special and that I love her and that she is still beautiful, fun and sexy to me. Does such a gift exist? A gift that says it all?

Write or type up some personal coupons for evenings out, foot rubs, back rubs, bubble baths, hanky panky, etc.
Reply:If you don't have time to make the coupons, you might find some in Hallmark or Spencer Gifts. But handmade ones are more personal of course. :) Enjoy! Report It

Reply:I second the suggestion for a B%26amp;B or spa. I took my wife to Hawaii last year for her birthday. As far as other ideas, consider books (does she like to cook, garden, etc) or movies DVD collection?
Another option: a family photo session at one of your local photo shops, so you have a holiday card photo for December.
Another option: offer to go together to pick out new home linens or something else that she's been grumbling about. If you do something like this, you can also follow up with a surprise small gift and dinner on the birthday.
My wife doesn't care about the surprise factor and in fact she will often suggest the birthday gift to me, but the key piece is picking it out either on your own or together.
good luck!

Pretty sure my boyfriend is going to get me flowers for valentines day...?
Someone help me out here!? I'm SICK of him getting me flowers and candy and stupid teddy bears!
I'm a tomboyish girl and he KNOWS I hate them,
How can I tell him (without offending him) that I want something else for Valentines day, and X-Mas, and My Birthday...
Pretty sure my boyfriend is going to get me flowers for valentines day...?
Just tell him, he'll understand.
Reply:So tell him to give you a nice good tongue thrashing.
Reply:Start the conversation with what you might give him. Then suggest a nice dinner or night out instead of gifts that don't last like flowers or candy. Honesty is best policy.
Reply:"baby, let's do something different this year and get each other something we don't want! then we can see how much we know each other."
Reply:how about you accidently leave this question open on the desktop?
Reply:Just pull him aside right now and say, "Hey! Don't buy me any more flowers or candy -- EVER, EVER again."
Trust me, he will be quite happy. Nothing ever annoyed me more than having to go out and pay $50 to have $10 worth of roses delivered to my wife at work on Valentine's Day.
Reply:And again the nice guy loses! Tell him what you want! Tell him he can get you anything he wants as long as it comes from the Bass Pro!

My husband "forgot" my birthday again?
Last Tuesday was my 30th birthday. My husband usually forgets, so I reminded him a month ago, and then a week before my brithday.
Tuesday morning he had been up for half an hour, so i said, "aren't you going to wish me a happy birthday?"
he said that I should have reminded him, even though I did. He went to work, and was not home until after 8pm.
He had no card, no presents, no flowers. I always make a big deal out of birthdays for him and our children. I make cakes from scratch, invite family for dinner and buy a persent ahead of time. It really hurts me that on my brithday, I did not get anything. I am not a material person, I just wanted him to show me he cares.
On Friday night I told him how upset I was, and he just blew me off. I was crying because my feelings were so hurt. I figured that maybe he might plan something for the weekend, but now it is Sunday and he has done nothing.
How do I get over this? I feel so alone.
My husband "forgot" my birthday again?
I would tell him everything what you wrote here strait to his face. How old is he? 85-90? Or his head made from wood???
Yes, many people do not care about birth days, but this is different, he doesn't care about you or your feelings. After so many remindings he didn't bother to move a finger.
Also, if you won't tell him that you are upset, doesn't he has eyes to see it himself? Does he see you at all?
What a lazy mind and spirit!!!
I wouldn't wait for his birthday to get some immature revenge, this is your life, your marriage not some kind of game. Till its not too late(?) talk to him, knock to his heart, explain what is going on in your heart. I would openly search for love and talk with him about everything.
There are 2 people in the marriage not just one. You can't do it for both of you, even you'll try hard
Reply:Your husband sounds like insensitive ****** and I'm being nice just calling him that. Karma's a *****. So stop doing the nice things you do for him and if he doesn't like it tell him to f-off.
Reply:If he needs to be reminded, then maybe you shouldn't make such a big deal out of his birthday. Why go through all the trouble for someone who can't remember your big day and probably doesn't appreciate what you do for his?
Reply:Happy Birthday!!! I'm sorry your husband is so insensitive. I had a boyfriend like that and it turned out pretty bad. Not only was he insensitive, he was cheating, and ripped me off financially. It's the narcisstic personality; that means vain, self-absorbed, conceited, selfish, etc... Good luck on whatever you decide to do but remember this, is this the kind of man you would want your daughter to be involved with? If not, you shouldn't be involved with him either.
Reply:treat his birthday the same as he does yours....like it's nothing! in fact, i'd let him spend the whole day by himself. i'd go pamper myself at the spa, hairdressers, or nail salon...then i'd show him what a good job that they did.
Reply:Remember this on his birthday and return the favor.
Reply:Well you don't, you get him things but he gets you nothing and even forget? Well maybe you should talk to him tell him how big of a deal it is for you. Or just 1 time forget his birthday! This will for sure make him think twice for what has done!
Reply:does he do things for you on other holidays? valentines day mothers day anniversary etc? Did he do things for you prior to you guys getting married? I mean if i bust my *** and go out my way for my husband he BETTER do the same otherwise I just wont do it anymore. Dont do anything for him anymore see if he says something about it. Keep doing stuff for your kids tho they dont need to be between your battle. I would say talk to him but you said he blows you off, i say blow him off if he wants to talk about anything involving his feelings because if he doesnt care anymore then why should you?
Reply:Take yourself to dinner tonight WITHOUT HIM OR THE KIDS!! Call a friend and the 2 of you go celebrate like it was your 21st birthday! And when his birthday comes simply "forget" don't even mention it! I know your feelings are hurt, and you shouldn't play games, but he has to be taught a lesson once and for all!! Teach him how to play by your rules! So go call a friend who can go somewhere on short notice get all dressed and simply say be back and leave the house. Even if you can't find someone to go with you leave for a while anyway. Some men just have to be taught to wake up and look at what they have in front of them!!
Reply:Well, Happy Birthday!
I've been married a long time and still my husband cannot remember my birthday. But I also learned it was not the Happy Birthday, flowers...it was an acknowledgement that he still loved me. But then I had to be honest with myself and realized he acknowledged me everyday we are married by working to support our family, coming home to us everyday, kissing me on the cheek, holding my hand....it all comes down to all the little stuff he did and basically giving me a birthday gift everyday of our marriage. FYI we have been married 26 years.
Reply:Stop doing nice things for his b-day.
Reply:First of all... I am sorry to hear that you have a piece of crap for a husband. This is just terrible! I am not kidding. There is NO reason why the man that you married can not even remember your birthday, let alone get you something once you do remind him. My advice would be to go to counseling. Maybe he is doing something he is doing something he is not suppost to be doing (i.e. cheating). If thats not the case then maybe he has alot of stress at his job. But I dont really think that is the issue. Bottom line : There is absolutly NO reason this man should treat you like this. **** Luck.
Reply:So, did you marry him to get birthday presents?
Reply:Maybe he smokes weed and his short term memory is already gone. Who knows?
Try growing up or realize he could care less about a birthday. There are people out there that make no big deal out of birthdays, holidays etc. You knew he was like that normally forgets, why think he would remember in the first place?
Reply:This is not good. Turning 30 was an important day for you, and you let him know. He blew you off. You should take yourself to counseling and map out your plan to find happiness. He is in danger of losing you. Does he know that? Does he care?
Take care of yourself. You cannot fill another's cup when yours is empty. You owe yourself a fantastic present, by the way. If asks about it, tell him it's from him.
Reply:well It sounds like you are not on his mind like you should be. Well when his day came around all ya what day.
Reply:Hello %26amp; Happy Belated Birthday!!! I'm alot like you %26amp; I 'm fortunate enough to have my husband remember. However, in your situation, I would go get myself a present %26amp; tell him you understand he's not the type that cares about birthdays. Or I would have my children or another part of the family remind him of the upcoming event %26amp; have a party with him there so he'd be part of the celebration. If he's still not into it I'd have another heart to heart talk with him. At last, if all else fails try to be cold around him not rude %26amp; maybe he'll get the message. Good Luck!!!
Reply:that really sucks to hear and im sorry, but ive learned that on my bday i do what i want, and not expect anything else, if people are around...cool if not then im happy with my day.
Reply:well happy late birthday, and im sure its upsetting but you will just have to remind him over and over. dont get too upset its minor. just keep telling him and maybe one day it will stick.
Reply:How about developing a poor memory of your own. Forget to do his washing, cleaning, cooking, ironing etc....Then explain to him that when he remembers that marriage is a loving partnership, your memory might improve lol!...
Reply:You don't mention if he's otherwise a good husband or not.
I'm thinking that since you let him know several times that it was important to you and he sees you're upset and crying and he just blows you off...and as of today he still has not acknowledged your birthday OR your hurt feelings...he's probably a jerk all year round. I get the feeling you're used to his insensitivity.....
Call some girlfriends and go out and celebrate with them!
By the way....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Should I get my ex girlfriend from two years ago something for her birthday?
I broke up with my ex girlfriend about two years ago.
When we were together, I was going through a period of depression, and she was the only person to remember my birthday. She got me a great present too. She was a great girlfriend, but I didn't see it at the time because I was having problems at home.
She's going through difficult times now (it seems her ex dumped her last month? I just know it was ugly), and her birthday is at the end of the month. I've always wanted to return the favor, even if we're no longer together.
Should I get her something for her birthday? I want her to feel better, like she did for me on my birthday, but will it seem like I'm just trying to make a move on her? We sort of talk online again, so it wouldn't be completely out of the blue either.
I'm thinking of sending her flowers, because I think they could make her day. I don't think she's received any before, and they seem appropriate for an 18th birthday.
What do you think?
Should I get my ex girlfriend from two years ago something for her birthday?
I think that's a great idea, but don't overdo it with a dozen roses or anything. I would stay away from red roses and get some flowers that say hey we're friends

Reply:u dont wanty her 2 think ur playing rebound but if u really wanna do it then i'd suggest daisies or sunflowers but no lilies cause they're kinda love doveyand most definitely NO ROSES!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to spruce up my out doors on a low budget.?
Im 14 and I live in a house where a landscaping guy usto live. So the outside has mulch and some flowers but it is starting to look rundown. There is alot of weeds and I just want it to look nice for the summer so I wanted to get a head-start now. Like I said Im only 14 so I dont have alot of income. Does anyone know what I could do? O this is also kinda a birthday suprise for my mommy.
How to spruce up my out doors on a low budget.?
hi and gee thats nice..neighbores..look around your area and see if any of your neighbores have outdoor plants that look like they could be overgrown and talk to the owner of the property and see if they are willing to split their plants ...this way you could replant them in your garden at no cost..trust me i have given many plants to some of my neighbores at no cost...it keeps the area beautiful..good luck and what a wonderful son you are...
Reply:You are such a sweetie!! Water the ground one evening and the next day pull the weeds. Sometimes it is hard to know which is a weed and which is a flower, but do your best! Then you can really see what's growing. Next you can go to almost any store - even a grocery store - and pick up packets of seeds that you and your mommy can plant together. Tie up the seed packets with a pretty ribbon and maybe make up some coupons for her. Coupons for things like trimming the grass, cutting bouquets of flowers that you have grown together, watering the flowers and things like that.
Reply:Like one other said, weeding don't cost anything. But if you know any of the neighbors well enough ask them if they have any plants like hostas, tall phlox, buttercups, irises or the like, that you can get thin-outs from to add to your yard. Or if any one is doing major revamp of their yard and wants to throw away perfectly good plants ask if you can have them instead. Also you might want to take a dollar store sharp steak knife to cut a new edge around the boarder. You will have to keep up on weeds at least once a week or a half hour everyday look through, which ever works for you.
Reply:re-mulching will cost lots of bucks. Buy your Mom a personal gift she can use.
Reply:Use large terracotta containers that are affordable and easy to keep for flowering plants. Pick plants that are easy to grow in your area, meaning climate appropriate.
have a small veggie garden. Most of them are cheap to start from seed and get green and lush very quickly.
Go for a nature hike, and collect seeds of plants in your area on your own. You can check a book from the library to learn about them and have fun!
Reply:Get some marigold seeds and start them in one row and put geraniums (you can get them in a small pot for 1.99 and plant behind the marigolds against the house .. water daily until the marigolds start sprouting. Don't over water just keep it damp everything should be really pretty in about a month!
Reply:Pulling the weeds doesn't cost anything. Just make sure the ground is damp, not drenched and they should pull easily or loosen them with a small shovel. If you have time to wait for seeds to grow that is the least expensive way. Marigolds are great flowers and easy to care for. You can even buy them in a flat of about 18 plants. Check at a flower nursery for the best prices.

Reply:Oh my god. This recipe is so amazing. The person that gave it to me is a professional pastry chef. She catered an event and I HAD to get the recipe. It is so light and creamy.
It does NOT have that slight granular texture that most homemade buttercreams have.
Swiss Meringue Buttercream (Chef Parks)
8 fl.oz. egg whites
1 lb. sugar
2 oz. corn syrup
? tsp. salt
1# 2oz. unsalted butter, softened
1.Mix together the egg whites, sugar, corn syrup and salt in a bowl. Heat over a hot water bath until the mixture reaches 140 (F). Transfer to the mixer and whip until stiff peaks form and mixture is cool to the touch. Whip in the softened butter gradually.
Notes: Buttercream can be flavored any way you like… vanilla, lemon, or coffee extract. You can also make chocolate buttercream by adding sifted cocoa and melted unsweetened chocolate.
For the flowers and words, you need a pastry bag with the flowered tip. For the words you will use the small round tip.
(After you color a small amount of frosting)

Drying out flowers?
i got a dozen red roses for my birthday and they are starting to die, I want to keep one as a memory, but I don't know how to do so with out it wilting like the others, is there any way i can preserve it?
Drying out flowers?
put in da vase
Reply:Tye them together at the stems with a twist tie or elastic bands or string and hang them upside down off a cupboard or something.. that way the flowers will dry nice and straight and not have droopy heads..
Reply:My wife always wants to preserve flowers from funerals and weddings, etc.
I have found freeze drying to be the best.
While they are still fresh, I use a push pin to tack them to the side of a cardboard box in our deep freeze. After a few weeks, they are dry and you can do what you want with them.
Reply:Tie the flowers together with string at the end of the stems, like a bouquet. Find a warm dry area in your home and use the ends of the string to hang the flowers upside down. Leave them undisturbed for about four weeks to ensure that they are thoroughly dried out. They are then ready. Handle them with care to ensure that the petals do not detach and they will last a life time. :)
Reply:You can get some silica sand or silica gel from you local craft store like a Hobby Lobby. This product is used for flower preservation and does a wonderful job of drying roses while retaining color and shape.

Do guys like getting flowers?
I have been seeing this guy for 5 months now and tomorrow is his birthday. I am trying to think of something sweet to do for him. I have bought him something already but I was thinking about sending him flowers.. But, do guys actually like getting flowers?? And if so what kind??? Or does anyone else have any other suggestions I can do for him while I am at work and he is home, he has the day off tomorrow. Thought it would be nice to have him open the door and see flowers or is that something only a girl would wanna see??? Please help
Do guys like getting flowers?
not flowers, not teddy bears(ack) not balloons
although once my gf made like 500 ballons and that was pretty cool but generally not
you could call him and tell him abotu what you will do to him later
he should like that...or a singing telegram with a stripper if you have a sense of humor about that
Reply:Only if it comes in a case of wine.
Reply:I have not met a man that would like to get flowers for his birthday. So make sure you know what you are doing because this could upset him
Reply:Dont send him flowers....look to see what else they have like candy or something else...they have different things that you cans send him_
Reply:i think it depends on the person. not knowing what kinda guy he is, it's hard to tell. i think it would be sweet though because it's the thought that counts! so maybe sunflowers or iris?
Reply:My husband is 100% man and he enjoys getting a (1) red rose from me on special occasions. He still has the first one I ever sent him when we were dating. But I think it depends on his maturity, a younger guy might think it's a girls only thing. He isn't the only man I've sent flowers to, when I was dating a couple different guys I had done the same thing to them and they liked it, but like I said they weren't young kids, they were in their late 20's and 30's. If you really don't think he'll like it don't do it, but you'll never know till you try.
Reply:no flowers!
Reply:my husb. wouldnt like flowers but maybe a small teddy bear and a balloon
Reply:Well, every year for my father's birthday I give him a bunch of fresh flowers. He appreciates it - which amazes me because he's one of those "manly" men - real macho and bold. You would never think that he would even stop to smell a rose. I think it's a nice gesture for you to send him flowers - if he takes it the wrong way - he's either homophobic or sensitive. Some men take it as an insult others don't - it depends on what type of guy you think he is (based on the months you've known him is he macho?) Go for it ! God Bless and God Luck !
Reply:can you bake ? men love home made pound cakes and cakes and cookies.
Reply:I would think only a girl would want that but if a girl sent me, im a guy, flowers I would think that was pretty sweet
Reply:My husband would not like flowers. What about a cookie bouquet? Something that a guy would actually get some use out of! Or tickets to a game of some sort (or a concert, etc...whatever he likes).
Reply:Of course they like flowers! However, they like food more! How about ordering from a dine in service or pizza place %26amp; send him a "birthday meal"? I'm sure you know what he likes, right? and maybe then you'll get to be the dessert ;-)~
Reply:I would not like to get flowers on my birthday... or anytime, unless you are landscaping my yard. I actually don't expect anything from a girl, cause then I feel obligated to get her something twice as good. But if you do get him something, get him cologne (and not the kind your ex used to wear) or a shirt you would like to see him in but is still in his style so he doesn't think you are trying to change him. ... Or a deep fryer, all guys need a deep fryer. Honey, if you are reading this: Deep Fryer for Christmas. Thanks! Okay, I am done.
Reply:Hmm...that's only something that a girl would wanna see...
Reply:Guys and flowers do NOT co-exist. Buy him a fragrance you like.
Reply:I have never met a straight man who likes flowers in this way. It is very unlikely to have the same effect as it might if he got you flowers. Skip this idea, and think of something else.
Reply:no if he is a nancy boy then sure but i highly doubt that...lol
Reply:Heck send him a pizza and beer...sure he would like that...and too...go early in the morning and throw a card on his car or door, and call him, later take him to dinner...he will enjoy anything coming from you...the thought counts..if you want to send flowers go for it.......he's your man....you should of taken the day off with him..hey call in sick...and spend the day with him...lol

Why am I not satisfied with my birthday present?
Here goes. My boyfriend and I are going through a rough time right now. My birthday is tomorrow and he already gave me flowers (which i am happy with) but then I found a $100 gift card to Old Navy when i was doing his laundry. He know I HATE gift cards because I don't think they are thoughtful. He asked me what I wanted (usually I don't care) and I told him I wanted us to do something as a family (with our 7 month old son), I wanted a memory. Anyhow, I will be pissed if that is what he got me. This might be the straw that broke the camels back. we have been having a hard time with his depression for the last year and i'm at my witts end. What would you do? I told him what I wanted.
Why am I not satisfied with my birthday present?
don't give up on him yet... see what he comes up with tomorrow. Even if he doesn't give you the memory... don't give up yet. You have a family and it sounds like he has emotional problems. Try counseling.
Good luck and God Bless. Oh... and Happy Birthday!
Reply:Hun, you are putting the cart before the horse. Your birthday hasn't even happened yet and you are already pissed off at him and assuming things. He is trying and to be honest, it is the thought that counts. Maybe the memory will be taking you shopping and then the 3 of you doing something together after like a picnic in the park?
Reply:Don't go off of him, firstly, because at least he tried, and you mentioned he had depression so he may have recently gotten it because he was so stressed out. Just act like you like it if it happens to be your present and make sure he gives you a gift receipt or something and go and return it when your out doing errands. Good luck.
Reply:it sounds like he's trying his best, you can't get down on him for at least trying. If he's have problems with depression he should probably try to work on those issues so thing between the two of you would be better. Don't rag on him i did it to my husband when i didnt like a gift he gave me, big mistake. They're men they try their best
Reply:I would be depressed too if I put my hard earned money into a gift for my spouse and whatever I chose wasn't good enough. Did it ever occur to you that he thinks highly of you and woud like you to look the way he thinks of you? Therefore, instead of buying you something that would probably not fit he bought you a gift card so you could choose whatever you like. I would love a gift card.
Reply:You're not satisfied because you are acting spoiled and bratty. Get over it, be glad he got you anything at all. Anyhow with the depression things going on with him, at least he thought of you --thought its not the perfect little gift you desired. Accept it, say thank you and ENJOY it...Don't be greedy.
Reply:damn i would hate to be your boyfriend you seem to be a very unpleasent woman, if i were you i would take the card and make him go with you to buy something as a family, then hope he doesnt leave your *** on the curb when you tell him how much you hate that he gave you a gift card
Reply:why don't you wait and see what else he may have planned for you, shopping at Old Navy then a day/night out for all someplace fun but wanted you to look your best before going, hence the gift card.
Reply:UM, did you ever think that gift card may not be for you? Maybe it's for his Mom for Mother's Day.
Grow up and stop being so selfish!
Reply:As usual, women are hard to please. Be thankful he's getting you anything woman !
Reply:Dont be selfish, you lucky he got you something.
Reply:You'll be more pissed if it's for his wife.
LMAO.
Reply:get over yourself...at least he thought enough to get you something
you are ungrateful
Reply:A gift card is "the straw that broke the camel's back"?
[1] Woman, you are BEGGING for an excuse to end this relationship
[2] You are a control freak. You NEVER tell people what gifts to get you. B*tch.
[3] If I got you a gift -- and in my depression forgot one of your f*cking precious RULES about gifts Her Majesty will or will not accept -- and you were "pissed" about it, I'd [a] never get you a gift again, and [b] tell you to light this one on fire, turn it sideways, and shove it up your self-centered a$s.
Reply:There are just SO many ways that this is just wrong. Lets see, one, you snooped and pre judged what he was going to do, two you also pre judged that this is ALL that he was going to do, and three, you pre judged the item above the emotional intent of it.
You are a very selfish person. Its not all about you. You don't get that most men not only hate having to shop for women, but are simply bad at it, especially when it comes to clothing. He'd rather than you have the card with which to pick out what *you* most like there, rather than him bringing home some item that you will almost certainly return, if its even in your correct size. You don't get that men's clothing sizing systems are very different from those used for women's clothes, and that the men's systems are far easier to figure out. Think about if you had to buy his The Right Gift at Best Buy, you'd likely do no better. But, he wouldn't judge you for your failure in a guy's store...
You sound very much like a person who will make herself unhappy, just so that she can be Always Right. Well, us wiser folks have a name for people like that: Divorced.
Oh, and how nice that HE has clinical depression, but YOU still are owed The Right Gift. How... compassionate of HIS problems you are. Not !
Reply:Oh my god. Grow up. You are going to let a birthday present "break the camels back"??? Gifts are optional by the way, so be happy he got you one...that you haven't even received yet.
I wouldn't get you one, you sound quite dreadful.
EDIT: If you want one day about you, you are probably going to have to plan it. If he's as depressed as you say he is, you can't possibly expect him to be able to make you happy...he can't even make himself happy. You have to make yourself happy. Been there...depression sucks.
Reply:if your boyfriend is depressed, i mean in a real depression, i think you you've got bigger worries than the fact that your just getting a gift card. Ya know, sometimes its real hard on a guy when there is a new baby. hes used to getting all your attention and now he is sharing you with the baby.this can get out of control if you let it. sounds like you need to talk about alot of things. and if his depression has really upset the whole scheme of things then maybe he needs help. helping him with that might end up being the best birthday gift you could ever recieve. good luck and happy b-day!
