Unique Birthday present for my girlfriend? Ladies - please help!?

My partner is 30 and her birthday is coming up in in 3 weeks. I've already booked a meal and hotel as a suprise, but i'm stuck for what to buy her. I don't want to spend alot of money (Less than ￡50) as i've already spent ￡200 on the hotel and first class tickets. I simply can't think what to buy her i've done the cliched stuff before (Perfume, Jewelry, flowers, clothes etc etc). Does anybody have any ideas (NOT tacky ones like "name a star"!) for a UNIQUE present i could get her?? Ladies - please let me know what gifts you have recieved and really liked.

Reply:Im a guy but let me tell you if you take others advice for a gift you will be sorry. Females tend to consider something like this a test. In other words have you been listening to her i am almost sure that she has been dropping hints of who she is and what she expects. It wont be clear at all! in fact for most men it would almost be impossible to detect and there is no sure fire way to decode any one women secret code. But i can assure you one thing if you don't get it she will be upset cause you were not listening.



Listening to your woman and trying to cyper her secret lingo will give you an answer of what to get her. Oh an you cant just listen for one week an expect that you will get it.



A common example of this secret lingo but not related to gifts is this. Say its near dinner time and one of you has to make dinner. If comes to you an says " Hun do you want me to make dinner?" she is really saying " It would be sweet of you to make dinner tonight"

Reply:how bout photography -venture do this for ￡25 you get a make-over and have a lot of fun then you have a memorable photo of the day . they are gorgeous .

you could do this before your nights events -she will feel pampered and you will have ￡25 change to get flowers or jewellery -!!!!

A nice wallet or key ring. Theatre tickets, lingerie, candles, soemthing for the home, champagne.

Reply:my husband has had to let me into a little secret to answer this, I'm 30 and for my birthday he used the link below to get me a personalised bear, it's a bear with a printed message on it and it has a lot of present ideas that come with it. it sounds childish but it's not take a look it also has other persona;l gift ideas
Reply:get her a basket or a box (chocolate tin?) full of little things that mean a lot to you both, trinkets, pictures, silly jokey things that you can buy from Tesco or boots (if she has smelly feet a foot spray or if she's always losing things a big bright keyring or one that talks or a packet of earing backs if she's already losing those. Search for a recipe for a dish she really enjoyed last time you ate in a restaurant. ) You'll be really surprised that if you really think about how many little items would make her smile and she'll be really grateful that you've put some real thought into it. Buy a pair of water pistols and some water bombs and challenge her to a water fight or buy tickets to a show or gig she would like

Reply:This is the thing, 'unique' presents usually are normal presents, but customised!



It depends on who she is. Is she practical? If so, she probably wont care for something customised, and would maybe want something she really needs!



You haven't told us too much about her, but maybe you could get a customised piece of art, clothing or an accessory (such as a bag or purse) for her. ￡50 is a bit of a restricted budget for custom gifts, but I'm sure if you look in the classified section of your local paper, there's probably a dressmaker or jewellery-maker who work for small amounts. Is there a book or film or something similar that she's been looking for all her life, that you could maybe track down for her and wrap up in a big ribbon? Is there something she's been considering for starting a new hobby for? i.e. say she's mentioned thinking about going to Pilates lessons, maybe book her a few lessons in advance.



My other half puts lots of thought into my presents, and it's nice to receive a surprise where it's something that he got for me because he knows me so well.



What you've done already sounds really nice, but make sure you give her the present before the evening starts in case she thinks the hotel and dinner is leading up to a marriage proposal! ;-)

Iam sure u must be having a nice photograph of both of you. now give that to an artist and ask him to paint it on a chart and frame it... and am so sure she'll just love that frame!!



try to get a black and white painting [ i think thts better than the colored ones ].
Reply:I know you have done the jewellery thing before but what about a really nice charm bracelet, with one charm that you have chosen that means something to the 2 of you. You can tell her you will buy her another meaningful charm every birthday. Its a very thoughtful and romantic thing to buy.
Reply:give her something memorable. don't miss out on the chocolates and flowers. try searching the internet for the service of naming a star after someone. google it, i know they offer such.
Reply:A special present cannot be bought! It has to be sentimental. I think you should go through all the pictures of you and your lady and pick the best ones out and buy her a really nice photo album with spaces to write messages. Then write everything you can remeber about that day and your time together. This would really mean a lot to her just to show that you remember everything.
