For my sisters 21st birthday she is having a tattoo party and if I can talk my parents into letting me get something small im thinking of a small flower at the top of my foot below the ankle crease. I dont want it any bigger than like 2 1/2 inches long and an inch wide. I want colors blue and pink for the petals and a pretty green for the stem. how much would it cost and how much will it hurt?
Does a tattoo on the top of the foot hurt?
I have one on the top of my foot, outside under my toes, single color and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. However, what didn't hurt too bad for me could hurt more for you so trying to describe the pain is really pointless.
During the summer is the best time to get foot tattoos. Sandals, especially flip flops, allow the tattoo to breathe and there is no worry about friction with socks and full shoes that could pull at the scabs and pull out the ink.
I would also be a little concerned about the tattoo party. Please do some research into the tattooist that will be doing it. Is he/she from a reputable shop? Have you been in the shop? Is it kept clean? Do they have a portfolio where you can see some of their work? How long have they been tattooing? Do they wear gloves? Do they change the gloves after each use? Do they use sterile needles? Do they change the needles after every person they tattoo? What do they recommend for after care? Vasoline should NEVER be used on tattoos. It is too thick and will not allow the tattoo to breathe.
There is a lot to think about. If you have any doubts what-so-ever about this person do not allow them to tattoo you. At a party such as this this person could rush and make a mistake just so that they can fit everyone in. Mistakes are costly with tattoos not to mention you could end up with hepatitis or even aids.
Personally, I would much rather spend a little more money and have it done right in a shop I feel comfortable with and know that I have had my tattoo done properly and safely.
Edited to add that vasoline can also pull the color from your tattoo.
Reply:Sounds like you're good to go! For your first tattoo I was just concerned. Some people don't really think about all those factors. As for the placement you may consider the back of your shoulder or neck. Report It
Reply:I love those spots! The foot tattoo can be done now but it may take longer to heal with having to keep it bandaged longer.
Good luck! Report It
Reply:it hurts abit but not much, ive got a full left leg tattoo and it only hurts for the first two or three days as for price it depends on where you go
Reply:It hurts A LOT!! I have one big one on my foot...before it became cool to do. The ankle crease area is THE WORST spot to get it b/c that hurts the worst. Go for something on your big toe or in the middle of your foot...anywhere else it not worth it.
Reply:Any tattoo close to the bone will HURT. Just make sure you like the design because you'll see it all the time. Good Luck!!
Reply:sounds cute i don't think it will hurt to bad tho is it your first tatoo if so then maaby
Reply:yes. all tattoos hurt. not as much as getting a big one probably. but it would hurt. it's about a medium of sensitivity, area-wise, so not as much as on the back of the hand but a lot more than on the stomach or leg or back or whatnot.
Reply:It will hurt cause its right on the bone. You sure you want a flower tatoo, thats what all girls get?
Reply:it will hurt and why do you wanna go messing up your pretty sking with a trashie looking totto? your sister is not very smart to be having a tatto party to start with. i have never heard of such. just think in a few years there is going to be a bunch of old ladies walking around with tattos all over them now that is going to be a pretty sight isn't it%26gt;
Reply:Any tatoo would hurt, on the foot it might tickle lol , making your foot move and screwing u pthe tatoo, something to think about.
Reply:A tatoo doesn't hurt WHILE you are getting it, it hurts afterwards when you have to put petrolium jelly or vaseline on it, it doesn't hurt alot it just burns kind of like when you put alcohol on a cut...And since it is only gonna be that small it wont really hurt alot trust me, maybe it would hurt if you get it below you're ankle crease, Why not your back or inner arm? that doesn't hurt much. Good Luck with your parents and I hope this helped :)
Reply:i hurts just about the same but i kinda depends who dose it.because i have two on one foot and i got them done at two different places!!! and one of them hurt realy bad (i cried)and the other was ok!!!
Reply:most artists don't do foot tattoos. unless you can walk around barefoot for 2 weeks in a clean environment, i guarantee you it will not heal properly. tattoos turn into giant scabs, wearing shoes and socks causes moisture and friction and does not alow the tat to heal. the ink might fade, the design may smudged and it might end up looking like crap. good luck
Reply:Yes, nothing between needle and bone.
Reply:no it doesnt hurt one little bit!!!!! U cant even feel it!!! That is defiantly where all the ppl who get tatoos get one because it is just so pain free!!!!!! and trust me i should kno!!! My feet and completely covered!!!!!! :)))))))))))))))
Reply:It's not painful if you can take it. I have a much bigger one. just hope that you don't regret later because it can be painful to remove and to go for daily dressing
Reply:it hurts it is near the bone so less skin och...good luck
Reply:Send pics of the flash %26amp; you here! The pain depends as does the price! Tattoo parties used to be the artist's would tattoo anybody free or what you paid to get in! Dunno if it's still like that!
