Is it bad to buy a girl flowers when your dating and how much is too much to spend on a girl when u first meet

I bought a girl flowers that i had been seeing since dec., for her in Feb. on valentines day also her birthday and when i gave them to her she said why did u do that. I felt like she was so cold i didnt talk to her really that night and she kept askin me what was wrong but i didnt know how to even say anything. And the second part of the question how do i get a girl not to ask me if im rich or my parents are. I dunno i can never tell if a girl really likes me anymore.

Reply:Girls love flowers she loved them both times you got them for her. When she said "why did u do that" That means you did a good job.
Reply:Some girls would prefer something with more thought than a big bunch of expensive flowers...maybe that's why she went quiet. I would never ask a new guy if he has money...as the relationship progresses though, I would expect to learn that about you.
Reply:Well I am guessing you are spending too much if they keep asking if you are rich, although I don't think I would want to date someone who was concerned about my income. Flowers are nice but maybe she felt they were too generic. If you wanna get her something, why not try something a little more personal and geared to her interests ya know?
Reply:For starters, when she asked you why you bought her flowers, she wanted to know what was going through your heart. She wanted to hear your feelings for her. I have asked that very same question before. I got a real good answer from him and it made me smile. I still smile over it.



Second, if you find a nice girl (AKA - A LADY), they will not ask you that question about family money. Because they have been raised to know that is not appropriate. If they do ask, then that is what they are after and I would not date them very long.

These days people are always saying, "Flowers are so cliche" because it's been done so much, apparently.

But it's done so little these days in reality that when it does happen, it's a very sweet and thoughtful gesture.



I'm not sure why you're girlfriend reacted like that. Maybe she was surprised that you had flowers for her.

maybe you should sit down and ask her about it. Try and Drop it into casual coversaion, keep the tone light and friendly.



And as for girls asking you whether you or your parents are rich - I don't care how nice they seem, stay away. Gold diggers are very real, very manipulative people.



You deserve better!
