I have known my friend, “Casey,” for approximately one and a half year and her birthday is about two weeks away. Since I didn’t buy her a present for her birthday last year, I want to buy her something nice. But, I am not her boyfriend so flowers (unless they are a get well gift or I am apologizing) and jewelry and anything else a boyfriend would buy his girlfriend is out of the question - even though I do like her. She already has a boyfriend and she has made it quite clear that she doesn’t like me in that way. What do I buy her?
What do you buy a seventeen year old girl for her birthday?
a gift card, clothes, perfume, books..... gift cert to go to the movies with you (then you can do the yawn over the shoulder thing and she'll dump her boyfriend for you) or take her out for dinner (friends do that too)..... girls also like candles and shiney things, I think thats a lot of options

Reply:nothing she has a boyfriend and he might get pissed or make her very uncomfortable besides one and a half years is not that long if you are still friends in 3 years from now then you wont have to ask a bunch of strangers what you should do you will already know
